Washington goes to Eugene to contest an Oregon Duck pair on Thursday at 7PM (PST). The ready will not be televised, which brings to keep an eye on “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised”, the most acclaimed ditty by Gil Scott- one of the originators of what was to become socially aware rap Music. Back in the lately 60’s and early 70’s, from the fringes of the jazz world, Gil combined oral suggestion with jazz accompaniment to contrive a form of expression that was made popular by even then idealistic artists like Public Enemy twenty years later and reverberates today in the pan out of important artists like Kanye West.
No, this event will not be televised, but it will be extremely akin to the fate of this year’s season for the Dawgs. Many of the most powerful battles are fought out of the limelight and this one is a master-work example. The Dawgs could turn back a surging Oregon set that Lorenzo Romar said in his Pressure conference on Tuesday looked feel attracted to a conference title contender back in January.

Q: After conjunctio in view of the episode recently of “Doctor Who” on the abandoned planet, I trace that was the first episode of the new season. But I cannot mark more Information about it. A: “Planet of the Dead” was a more or less even-tempered installment of the long-running series; the show’s true Web site, http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho, refers to it as a momentous rather than part of a season.
It will be followed by another special, “The Waters of Mars,” later this year. Then will come “The End of Time,” a two-parter marking the end of David Tennant’s occupancy as the Doctor, as well as the end of Russell T. Davies’ step on it as writer-producer on the show.

• Condolences to the genre and friends of Stanley Levin, the boxing-loving attorney who considered Jones to be a fellow of the Family. Levin, of Pensacola, Fla., died hindmost week at majority 70. He was one of the cogent guys in boxing, a generous humanity whose word was his bond. He was never a guy you’d Guide out front doing a lot of talking.
Behind the scenes, however, especially with approbation to Jones’ career, Levin made things happen. He was Jones’ co-manager for much of his career, along with his brother, Fred Levin. They were voted co-managers of the year in 1995 by the Boxing Writers Association of America. Levin, recognizable by his neck brace, stayed with Jones until the earlier scrap of the decade, when they went their disconnected ways, in Business because he was discontented in some of Jones’ topic decisions and because of his frail Health. I always liked Stan the Man.
